The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 05 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Wednesday to close at Rs178.23 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 178.18.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs179.6 and Rs180.8 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was depreciated by 75 paisas and closed at Rs200.97 against the last day’s trading of Rs201.72, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs1.55, whereas a decrease of 24 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs239.13 as compared to its last closing of Rs239.37.—APP
