The Punjab School Education Department on Friday refuted the reports regarding summer vacations earlier than June 1 and stated that the current academic session in schools will continue till May 31.
“There is no truth in the news regarding earlier summer vacations than May 31,” said the school education department. “A proposal for summer vacation will be sent to the schools education secretary next week,” it added.
“Schools will observe two-month summer vacations from June 1 to July 31,” it stated. “The new academic year in schools will begin on August 1,” it declared.
