Provincial Minister for Information Science and Technology Nawabzada Muhammad Taimur Talpur has said that the rulers who are scared of PDM are distorting the interview of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and want to put cracks in the PDM. “But all their efforts will fail.”
In a statement issued from Talpur House, the minister said that the PDM was formed on the basis of a multi-party conference convened by the PPP, which is a common platform of Pakistan’s democratic forces and will move forward by consensus.
He said that rigging was not the only issue for the PPP in the 2018 elections. The PPP has faced the problem of rigging in all past elections. We accepted the results of the 1988 and 2007 elections despite reservations.
Talpur said that the problem of this country cannot be solved by just one election inquiry. We desperately need a Truth & Reconciliation Commission. As a result of this commission, fraud, theft of mandates and other issues will be eliminated. He said that PPP had also mentioned some names in the elections. Whatever name the PPP used, its party had evidence. Mian Nawaz Sharif will not say anything without proof. The PPP is and will remain committed to the PDM.
