Renovation and beautification of all parks situated in Allama Iqbal Town has been initiated, which will be completed at a cost of Rs40 million, said Punjab Minister Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed.
The minister inaugurated the development work in the parks of Huma, Zeenat and Nargis blocks of Allama Iqbal Town on Sunday.
Pakistan Tahreek e Insaf leaders Waqas Amjad and Zeeshan Siddiqui were also along with him.
The minister initiated the development work by planting saplings in the parks of these blocks.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed said that Rs40 million will be spent on the beautification of the parks of Allama Iqbal Town.
This initiative will increase beauty of all these parks and will add to the recreation for the public.
He citied an adage that “a county having healthy parks and recreational places” has empty hospitals.
For maintaining our health, we and especially the young ones must exercise and play sports and for this purpose, we are working hard to provide the public with the best refreshment facilities.
Advanced amusement services in the parks of Allama Iqbal Town will be made sure. After battling with the pandemic for so long, we must relieve stress from ourselves.
