RPO sacks four ‘corrupt’ SIs

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, Rifat Mukhtar Raja has sacked four sub-inspectors including SHOs on various charges including corruption and power abuse.

The sacked officers included Sub-Inspector Zafar Ora, Sub-Inspector Shahid Punnu and Sub-Inspector Talesh Abbas. According to sources, various cases and inquiries were going on against these police officers. Upon completion of these inquiries, they were sacked from the service.

Meanwhile, the Education Unit of City Traffic Police continued a traffic awareness campaign to raise awareness against one-wheeling and dangerous driving on Independence Day.

According to Chief Traffic Officer Tanveer Ahmad Malik, a comprehensive plan has been prepared in collaboration with other departments to check one-wheeling and dangerous driving on Independence Day.

He also distributed helmets and gifts to the citizens on the occasion. The CTO informed that all these activities are aimed at maintaining a peaceful traffic environment and traffic discipline on roads.
