Rotary International is continuing its mission of public welfare all over the world.Professor Dr Farhan Essa, the district governor 3271 said this at the farewell ceremony hosted in his honour by members of the Rotary International District 3271.
DG Elect Dr. Aftab Imam, First Lady Dr. Nadia Farhan, Event Chairperson Chaudhry Fahad Sikandar, Promotion ChairSheikh Imtiaz Hussain, Coordinator to Promotion Chair Junaid-ur-Rehman, Assistant to Promotion Chair Abid, Program Committee Chair Muhammad Arshad, Registration Chair Shoaib Rasheed and other Rotarians were also present.
Dr. Farhan Essa said that Rotary is the world’s oldest social welfare organization which includes millions of Interacts, Rotaracts and Rotarians who are serving humanity all over the world.
Dr. Farhan Essa said that the problems and hardships of the poor and needy are alleviated through Rotary International, which includes health, education, clean drinking water, access to energy, eradication of poverty and unemployment.
“More people should join the NGO so that they can be a benefit to the human race to the best of their ability so that the world can get rid of the problems.”
Dr Issa said that as the District Governor he did the best he could and for that he was grateful to all the members.
Dr. Farhan Essa said that not only this but Rotary has also played a great role in the health, education and skills training of the prisoners in the jails of the country.
He said that Rotary International is a non-political organization and works irrespective of religion, creed, colour and caste.
A colorful musical night, a mango gala and a lucky draw were also organized at the occasion. The Rotarian were givensurprise awards, certificates and shields.
