The Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (IIFP), the pioneer Islamic Financial Institution in Nigeria, hosted its 2021 annual stakeholders conference in Lagos with the theme “Weathering the Storms in the Financial Ecosystem: The Cutting Edge of Islamic Finance”.
It had scholars, the banking sector, Islamic insurance experts, regulators, operators, cooperative societies, members of the Institute, and other stakeholders in attendance.
Giving the opening address, the Acting President of the Institute, Dr. Tajudeen O. Yusuf, said the conference’s focus was to address one of humanity’s challenges: maintaining economic and social justice through equitable distribution of wealth and resources.
Dr. Yusuf said the event was an opportunity for stakeholders to address the challenge of proffering economic and financial solutions to the various predicaments of the Nigerian and global economies.
