Road checking campaign of Excise and TaxationSindh to collect tax from tax defaulting vehicle owners has come to anend. The road checking campaign continued from February 19 to March 7.
According to the details, a total of 37097 vehicles were checked duringthis campaign.8390 in Karachi, 10479 in Hyderabad, 4246 in Sukkur, 4681 in Larkana,3570 in MirpurKhas and 5731 vehicles were checked in ShaheedBenazirabad. A total of 3262 vehicles were impounded while documents of3419 vehicles were also seized.
During the road checking campaign, a total of more than 37.2 millionrupees of tax was collected. Director General Excise and Taxation SindhAurangzeb Panhwar has appreciated the performance of the officers andstaff who served during the road checking campaign and thanked thevehicle owners for their cooperation during the road checking campaign.
