Reiterating the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Saudi military and naval authorities have acknowledged the contribution of Pakistan in spearheading various initiatives for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
These views were expressed when Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, who is on an official visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held separate meetings with Saudi Chief of General Staff and Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, matters of mutual interest, including naval cooperation, came under discussion during the meetings.
The Saudi officials also appreciated Pakistan Navy’s role in training of Saudi naval forces.
The Naval Chief also visited Saudi Naval Forces Headquarters in Riyadh. Admiral Niazi was received by Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces Vice Admiral Fahad bin Abdullah Al Ghofaily.
Later, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi called on Chief of General Staff General Fayyad bin Hamid Al Ruwaili and Commander Royal Naval Forces Vice Admiral Fahad bin Abdullah Al Ghofaily separately.
This visit is expected to greatly enhance the bilateral cooperation between both the countries in general and navies in particular, said the Navy spokesperson.
