Defence Day was observed with National enthusiasm and fervour in the district Hafizabad. In this connection, a function was held at government college Hafizabad. Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach presided over the ceremony. Deputy Director Colleges Muhammad Azhar, Principal Professor Muhammad Shahbaz Khan, professors including Rana Maqsood Ahmad, Malik GhulamHussain, students and prominent personalities attended the function.
Addressing the function, DC Umer Farooq Warriach said that Pakistan Army with the support of the people was foiled aggression and evil design to conquer Pakistan to render everlasting sacrifices in 1965. He said that the whole nation was paying tribute to sacrifices of martyrs and martyrs were our national heroes, we all should respect sacrifices of martyrs and their monuments.
We spending our lives peacefully by the virtue of sacrifices of martyrs in a free country, he said that added that students are bright future of our country who would hold the reins the country in future, We would commit today that we would not refrain from rendering any kind of sacrifices to protect boundaries of the country.
