Delegation of Overseas Pakistanis Commission led by Vice Chairperson OPC, Ch Waseem Akhtar called on Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Babar Hayat Tarar in his office.
OPC Commissioner Syed Khadim Abbas and DG Ishratullah Khan Niazi along with Registrar Board of Revenue and Revenue officers were also present in the meeting.
Pendency related to revenue cases and matters of mutual understanding were discussed in the meeting.
A list of pending revenue cases of Overseas Pakistanis was shared and the request to expedite those cases at the earliest was made from OPC.
While speaking on the occasion, Senior Member Board of Revenue Babar Hayat Tarar said Overseas Pakistanis are an asset to this nation and provision of relief to them is our top priority.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab has directed Registrar Board of Revenue to dispose of the complaints pending in revenue courts of Overseas Pakistanis on top priority within next two months.
It was also decided in meeting that as per Court Care Management System, Board of Revenue shall update the status of complaints on OPC Portal from time to time.
Moreover, Senior Member Board of Revenue has agreed to establish Revenue Facilitation Centre at the premises of OPC.
This facilitation desk shall provide assistance to overseas Pakistanis in fard, transfer and registry of lands of Overseas Pakistanis. Vice Chairperson OPC Ch.
Waseem Akhtar said that resolution of the revenue cases will be a relief for Pakistani expats as most of their complaints are related to revenue.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Babar Hayat Tarar lauded the efforts of Team OPC and assured to cooperate in future.
