Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rasheed has said that we are trying to make all senior registrars of government hospitals as trainers. She said that the research work plays vital role to boost the standard of any educational institution.
The Health Minister had a brief meeting with Dr Shahnaz of LEADS University UK at Fatima Jinnah Medical University. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aamir Zamaan Khan and MS Ganga Ram Hospital Dr Fayyaz Butt were also there.
During meeting, she had brief discussion over research MoU, child and mother hospital and training of healthcare professionals. Dr Yasmeen Rasheed special research programs will be started in all medical universities of Punjab. She further said that research papers will be appreciated at every forum. Help was being taken from LEADS University to boost the scope of research in students of medical universities, she added. The Provincial Minister alleged that the former governments did not do anything to build the image of medical universities. Scholarships will be given to top ranker students, he added.—INP
