A renowned mountaineer Sajid Ali Sadpara along with his team visited the Emergency Services Headquarters & Academy of Rescue 1122 here on Wednesday.
He witnessed the training facilities of fire, medical, rescue, disaster management and others advance being provided to rescuers of all provinces of Pakistan. He was welcomed by senior officers at Emergency Services Headquarters.
On the occasion, DG Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan Naseer announced that Rescue 1122 team will go K-2 with Saji Ali Sadpara next year.
He also paid rich tribute to the Services Sajid Ali Sadpara’s father Ali Sadpara a pride of the Country in the field of Mountainair.
He also briefed about Emergency Services Reforms in Pakistan and the long journey for the Establishment of an Integrated Model of Emergency Services Rescue 1122, which started as a pilot project from Lahore with 14 Ambulances, 6 Rescue Stations, and 200 rescuers.
He said Rescue Service also conduct Mountain Rescue Training of Emergency Personnel regularly at Murree hills especially in winters.
Snow to enhance the disaster response capacity of the staff. While talking about the nature of emergencies he told that the Service has rescued over 9. 4 million victims of emergencies and saved losses over 500 billion rupees in over 156,000 fire incidents by timely emergency response and professional freighting.
Besides that, it is an honour for all of us that the Pakistan Rescue Team of Emergency Services Academy has become the first United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), Classified Team, in South Asia.
