Religious scholar goes missing in Kulgam

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a religious scholar has gone missing from a police station in Kulgam district.

The scholar, Mufti Nazir Ahmed Dar, had gone missing after reported to Behibagh police staton in the district on January 28, 2023.

“On 27 January, my brother (Nazir Ahmed) was called by Police Behibagh station to submit some documents of his school for verification purposes and he went to the police station with the said documents. The police station unnecessarily ordered him to bring more documents/ photocopies the next day (28 January 2023) morning,” his brother said.

On 28th January, he added, Nazir Ahmad Dar visited the police station after which he is missing. “We tried to call him on his numbers but our calls were getting rejected and since 28 January, his phone has been switched off,” his brother told the media.—KMS
