Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari while welcoming the holding of the Christmas Sports Festival has said that all the religious and national festivals give happiness to the nation.
Speaking as chief guest of the concluding ceremony of the three-day-long Christmas Sports Festival here on Thursday, he said that we all share the joy of the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.
Syed Yarwar Abbas said that Christmas is a message of happiness, love, peace and tranquility. “Happiness grows by sharing,” he said adding our sharing of each other’s joys is a sign of a united nation.
In the context of the Sialkot tragedy, the provincial said that need for inter-religious harmony has increased and the Christmas Sports Festival will send a good message to the world.
The Christian community appreciated the happy message from the provincial minister on this occasion.
Later, Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari distributed prizes and certificates among the teams and players.
