Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJ&K chapter, has congratulated Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on taking oath as Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that Pakistan had been facing daunting challenges both internally as well as externally on many fronts.

Kashmir, the long drawn dispute of late 1940s, he added, poses a big test due to India’s aggressive policies in the illegally occupied part of J&K, such as persecution of the inhabitants of the besieged region, prosecution of its leaders, gross and flagrant violations of the human rights and apathetic trend of the world community towards the Kashmir issue.

He hoped that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari as a grandson of late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto would take the lingering conflict of Jammu and Kashmir to higher horizons of international diplomacy so that India could be forced to resolve it in accordance with the principles of the right of self-determination.
