Village Bubur has been badly devastated by the recent flash floods and all the affected houses are buried under boulders and debris.
Work on rehabilitation has been immediately started. Engineers, Architects and planners have been placed in ghizer to undertake the rehabilitation work. All the legal heirs have received cheques of one million each. I visited the bubar village today with secretary Finance and secretary Works .I met with the local community and also visited the flood affected area.
I also visited the bubar das as an alternate place for construction of houses, as the present area is very vulnerable to floods. It was suggested that pre-fabricated house blended with local culture will be constructed besides water supply will be made possible with lift irrigation scheme. 5 km access road in village will be paved besides a community center for women will also be established.
Works department to ensure a smooth and transparent rehabilitation process. NHA teams have also arrived on direction from Prime Minister and they have started work on construction of damaged bridges in ghizer.
The damaged power house will be rehabilitated immediately by invoking emergency clauses. A Medical Officer will be posted in the A Class dispensary, Bubur in next 24 hours.
I also visited the Girls School which has lost its three students in the flash floods. I met with the class fellows of the deceased students and assured the students that the school will be best equipped as per their desire.
Secretary Works, Secretary Finance, along with DC, AC, GM NHA will daily share the progress report on rehabilitation process. Lives lost cannot be brought back but we will try our level best to restore hope and the new bubar community will be back to normal life before winters INSHALLAH.
