Red Crescent reactivated for public service

Deputy Commissioner Attock, Rao Atif Raza, has announced the reactivation of the Red Crescent across the district, aiming to enhance public service delivery through this humanitarian organization. The declaration came during a meeting of the Red Crescent Board, chaired by Rao Atif Raza, and attended by key stakeholders including Ismail, CEO Education, Sajda Mukhtar, Principal Graduate College, Professor Khalid Javed Siddiqui, District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain, Social Welfare Officer Muhammad Zubair, Dr. Maqsoodalhi, and representatives from various NGOs.

Addressing the gathering, DC Attock highlighted the district administration’s recent humanitarian efforts, including the dispatch of two million goods for earthquake relief in Turkey. He underscored the importance of reviving the Red Crescent’s activities, appointing former social welfare officer Khalid Saba as its secretary.

Rao Atif Raza emphasized the significance of public awareness and service, announcing plans to conduct two camps during the Red Crescent month. These camps will be established in remote areas, focusing on fundraising and community engagement. The Red Crescent will also prioritize regular meetings to streamline its operations.
