A ceremony was held at the Sindh Secretariat to offer government jobs to the blind. At the ceremony, Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah offered recruitment orders to 25 blind persons in different departments of Sindh on 5% (differently eligible persons) quota. Addressing the function, Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah said that the Sindh government has ensured implementation of the 5% quota for persons with disabilities. People with disabilities are being given jobs in various departments of Sindh government on 5% quota. He further said that in the departments where disability quota has not been implemented yet, advertisements for implementation of disability quota will be issued soon. The Chief Secretary Sindh told the candidates who received the offer order that they are part of the Sindh government from today and they will work enthusiastically in the department in which they will be. At the ceremony, Chief Secretary Sindh went to their seats and gave offer orders to all the candidates. Advocate Nadeem Sheikh on behalf of Justice Helpline and Sindh High Court Bar thanked the Sindh government and said that Justice Helpline pays tribute to Chief Minister Sindh and Chief Secretary Sindh for providing jobs to the blind on merit. Jobs were given in Education, Health, Population Welfare DMC under 5% quota
