Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Serena Hotels, Aziz Boolani on Tuesday said Serena Hotel always felt proud to support the talented women of Pakistan as they were equally talented like their male counterparts. For this purpose, Serena Hotel has been hosting various events and organizing initiatives to highlight female talent.

He was addressing a reception in honour of over 35 women footballers from the Chitral Women Sports Club (CWSC) who are currently visiting Islamabad for a one-week sports camp and sporting exchange and are playing with the local teams. Currently, they are staying at the Sports Complex near Aabpara.

These under-16 football players hail from various parts of the Chitral Valley and it is their pure passion and craze for the game that have brought them to the federal capital.
Earlier, the Serena Hotel Management welcomed the players and their coach Karishma Ali upon their arrival and wished their stay would be full of excitement and joy.

Boolani in his brief welcome speech said the Serena Hotels have been organizing sporting events like golf, tennis, squash, cricket and football. He particularly mentioned Samina Baig, the internationally renowned mountaineer of Pakistan in whose honour Serena Hotel organized a reception to acknowledge her achievements.

Samina Baig is high-altitude mountaineer who in 2013 climbed Mount Everest and then all Seven Summits by 2014. She is the first Pakistani woman to climb Everest and the Seven Summits.
