Ransacking in PA: Mazari forms inquiry committee

Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari on Monday formed a committee to review ransack of the assembly build-ing from the opposition.

According to a private news channel, Director-General Parliamentary Affairs Rai Mumtaz Hussain Babar and Special Secretary Ali Imran Rizvi are included in the committee.

The inquiry committee will determine who was responsible for the vandalism and will also assess the damage to the opposition lobby and other parts of the assembly building.

Yesterday, on the provocation of MPA Rana Mash-hood, opposition members smashed a rare painting of artist Jimmy hanging in the lobby and security equipment installed there in the assembly building.
