Rajanpur van fire toll climbs to eight

The death toll from a fire in a passenger van near Rojhan area of Rajanpur has climbed up to eight as two more girls succumbed to their injuries on Sunday.

The authorities had said that the passenger van carrying a wedding party caught fire after its gas cylinder exploded near Rojhan Toll Plaza on Indus Highway Saturday.
As many as 17 inured persons are still under treatment at hospital.

The funeral prayers of the eight passengers were offered at Marri Bangla in Tehsil Rojhan on Sunday. A large number of locals attended the funeral prayers.

District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital MS Dr Inamullah Jamali has declared emergency in the hospital and directed all doctors and paramedics to utilise all available resources for best treatment of the injured.
