The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday forecasted that the persist rain spell will continue till Tuesday (today) and gusty winds followed by rain has turned the weather pleasant and beat the scorching heat-wave.
The current temperature recorded was 29 degree Celsius in Lahore.
The met office said that Lahore city may receive rain with strong winds and it also improved the air quality index which recorded 55 AQI points.
A westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen from today (evening/night).
Dust-thunderstorm-rain with gusty winds are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad and upper Punjab.
Hot and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country with dust raising/gusty winds in central and southern parts.
Sunday’s recorded highest maximum temperature’s (°C): Mohenjodaro, Jacobabad, Dadu, Sibbi, Shaheed Benazirabad 49, Larkana, Padidan and Sakrand 48.
Rainfall (mm): Punjab: Chakwal 04, Narowal 01, Gilgit Baltistan: Babusar 03, Astore 01 and Kashmir: Garhi Dupatta 01.
