Rains lash plains in IIOJK, higher reaches receive fresh snowfall

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, rains lashed plains while upper reaches received fresh snowfall.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an official of the local meteorological department said in last 24 hours till 8:30 am today, Srinagar, Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kupwara, Kokernag, Gulmarg, Jammu, Banihal, Batote, Katra, Bhaderwah, Kathua and other areas received rains.

He said the higher reaches including Gulmarg in Kashmir Valley and Mahoo Mangit in Pir Panjal region received fresh snowfall during the time. The Met department also forecast scattered to fairly widespread light rain/thunders in plains and snowfall over upper reaches in IIOJK during the next 24 hours.—INP
