PESHAWAR – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday and Thursday. The wet spell will likely provide respite to the heat-stricken people during this week.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave will likely affect the upper parts of the country from Tuesday night.
Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty/dust-raising winds are expected at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Buner, Peshawar and Mardan on Wednesday and Thursday. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the province. Intermittent rains and gusty winds will gradually decrease day temperatures during this week.
