Rain, strong winds likely at scattered places

The Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted rain and strong winds, thundershower in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir and isolated heavy falls and hailstorm are also likely during 24 hours.

Wind thunderstorms with heavy falls at times may generate urban flooding in low-lying areas of Azad Kashmir, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Sialkot on Monday.

The KP Meteorological Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also recorded rain forecasts in Kohat and adjoining areas with 10 mm rain in Swat and Malam Jabba, 12 mm in Balakot and 17 mm in Buner during last 24 hours.

However, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan recorded the highest temperature of 44 °C during this time span.

The Bahawalpur Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of rain for the city for next 24 hours.—APP
