Rain likely at scattered places

Islamabad—Rain/ dust-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Upper Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir in next 24 hours whereas hot and humid weather to prevail in other parts of the country.
Rainfall is forecast in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, an official of met office told APP.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Seasonal low lies over northeast-Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Moist currents are penetrating eastern parts of the country and Kashmir. Westerly wave is likely to penetrate upper parts of the country during next 24 hours.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. Meanwhile, the Karachi Met office on Saturday forecast a partly cloudy weather in the metropolis during the next 24 hours. The maximum temperature is expected to remain in the range between 32 to 34 degrees centigrade. The weather report said that mainly hot and dry weather is likely to prevail elsewhere in Sindh. While, the Quetta Met Office has forecast dry to partly cloudy weather for the provincial capital during next 24 hours.
According to weather report, the dry to partly cloudy weather has been forecast for rest of the region. The maximum and minimum temperature were recorded 36 and 20 degree Centigrade on Saturday. Maximum temperatures recorded on Saturday were Nokkundi, Noorpurthal, Dalbandin 42øC, Sukkur.—APP
