Sardar Abdul Rahim, Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh and Secretary Information of the GDA, has held the Sindh government accountable for the recent Umerkot incident. He condemned the violence and baton charge on peaceful protesters, political workers, journalists, civil society members, and women outside the Karachi Press Club.
Rahim criticized the Sindh government for its failure to address extremism and terrorism in the province. He accused the government of arresting peaceful political activists to hide its incompetence, claiming that the ruling party has destroyed societal peace and harmony. Rahim also alleged that the Sindh government is behind efforts to steal the province’s water and is inciting conflicts among different groups to disrupt public protests.
