LAHORE – Quetta Gladiators beat Islamabad United by 30 runs at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday to qualify for the PSL X final.

Chasing a challenging 210-run target for victory, Islamabad United were bundled out for 179 in 19.4 overs.

Sahibzada Farhan was the top scorer with 52 runs, followed by Salman Agha, who contributed 44 runs. Rassie van der Dussen made 35 and Shadab Khan 16 runs. No other batter could enter the double figures.

Usman Tariq bagged three wickets and Mohammad Amir, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim two each while Abrar Ahmed took one wicket. Faheem Ashraf was named player of the match.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Gladiators reached 209/6 in the allocated 20 overs despite losing skipper Saud Shakeel (12) early.

Dinesh Chandimal was the highest scorer for the Gladiators with 49 runs, followed by Faheem Ashraf, who made 45. Finn Allen contributed 41 runs, Avishka Fernando 32 and Rilee Rossouw 16 runs. Ben Dwarshuis and Salman Irshad bagged two wickets each, while skipper Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim got one wicket each.
