Observer Report

Peshawar

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that some foreign elements are trying to destabilise the development of the country by creating rift among different faiths. Addressing the Interfaith harmony conference in Peshawar Sunday, he stressed the need for unity and interfaith harmony to foil these conspiracies. The minister urged all the religious Ulema to avoid differences and play their vital role for the promotion of inter faith harmony in the society. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said our religion and constitution guarantees freedom and equal rights of minorities like other citizens of the country. He strongly rejected the rumours about the recognition of Israel and said that many Muslim countries have backed their decision about acceptance of Israel due to clear denial of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The minister said the Prime Minister has effectively highlighted the issue of inter faith harmony on OIC, UN and other international fora. He strongly condemned the malicious statements of opposition members against national and security institutions, terming them the Indian agenda against the national institutions.
