LAHORE – Punjab government extended winter vacations for another week. No. S.O(A-II)1-1/2001(P): In continuation of this department’s earlier notification dated 22nd December, 2025, it is hereby notified that due to severe weather conditions prevailing in Punjab, the Winter Vacations for all Higher Education Institutions (Public & Private) under the jurisdiction of the Higher Education Department have been extended from 10 January, 2026 to 16th January, 2026.
All colleges (public and private) shall re-open on Monday 19 January, 2026, resuming full / normal week for all classes.
BS 4-Year Programs, however, shall continue to function. Furthermore, all examinations shall be held as per the notified schedules of Boards and Universities.
