Punjab to implement PM’s vision to boost industrialization: Mian Aslam

Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal has said that the Punjab government in line with Prime Minister’s vision will continue to promote industrialization and growth across all manufacturing sectors for strengthening national economy on sound footing which will also generate ample job opportunities.
Provincial Minister stated this while inaugurating the 3-day mega 11th Interiors Pakistan exhibition here at Expo Center on Friday. Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq who is also chairman of FIEDMC was present on this occasion.
He also hoped that young leadership would play an effective role in expediting the process of industrialization, asserting that since industrialists and traders were backbone of the economy, their due problems would be resolved on priority basis.
Mian Aslam Iqbal also assured that the Punjab government will also patronize furniture sector and if this particular sector is organized on modern scientific line at par with international standard, this would help earn plenty of foreign exchange.
The PTI government, he said, would welcome proposals and recommendations of PFC to expedite the process of industrialisation. Pakistan had now come out of an economic crisis and the national economy was advancing towards stability and they would bring good news to people the next year, he added.
The provincial also urged the businessmen to work extensively to promote the local industry in Pakistan. He said more improvement in this industry would not only help in meeting local needs but would enable to meet needs of international market. “All support would be provided for taking this exhibition to other countries,” he added.
Mian Aslam Iqbal also visited the various stalls and appreciating the stall holders he said these were a unique combination of traditional art and modern day requirements. “Joint efforts need to be made on modern lines to gain optimum access to international markets for locally manufactured furniture and accessories,” he added.
PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq extended his gratitude towards Provincial Industries and Trade Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal to spare time for inaugurating the exhibition. He said PFC continued its legacy by fulfilling its commitment to serve Pakistan’s thriving furniture business industry by organizing consecutively 11th Interiors Pakistan Exhibition.
Mian Kashif Ishfaq further said the response from public and foreign furniture producers is tremendous and he is much optimistic in coming exhibitions more foreign furniture producers will display their products in PFC exhibitions.
Opinions and ideas were welcomed during the exhibition and people who attended greatly appreciated the effort, ambiance and the quality of furniture displayed during the event. 11th Interiors Pakistan Exhibition offered a whopping discount of up to 40% on all goods and the prices were so reasonable that it more created an environment of major buying interest than just a general visitor’s exhibition.
