Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bokhari has defended the Punjab government’s performance, saying that the province’s rapid pace of development and public welfare initiatives have unsettled political opponents.
Responding to recent remarks by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) spokespersons, she said public resources in Punjab are being used for the welfare of citizens and development projects, which she claimed has become a source of concern for the opposition. Bokhari said that although Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s government has been in office for only two years, it has ensured balanced development across the province.
She stated that development projects are being carried out from Attock to Rahim Yar Khan and from Rawalpindi to Vehari, with every district receiving attention without discrimination.
According to her, these initiatives have led to visible improvements in the quality of life of the people. She maintained that criticism from political opponents would not deter the government from pursuing its agenda of public service, transparent governance, and inclusive development.
