LAHORE – In a significant move towards bolstering economic relations, Punjab and Qatar on Tuesday made a fundamental decision to enhance their economic partnership.
During a meeting between the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and the Ambassador of Qatar, Ali bin Mubarak Al-Khater, held to discuss mutual interests, several key points were deliberated upon.
Discussions centered around exploring potential investment opportunities in Punjab and facilitating the provision of labor force.
Both parties emphasized the importance of promoting economic cooperation and fostering mutual growth.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif took the opportunity to apprise the Qatari ambassador of the business-friendly policies implemented by the Punjab government.
She extended a warm invitation to Qatari businessmen and industrialists to consider investing in Punjab, highlighting the region’s conducive environment for business.
In response, the Qatari ambassador commended Pakistan’s skilled workforce and expressed interest in increasing recruitment from Punjab for various skilled labor positions.
The meeting emphasized upon the commitment of both Punjab and Qatar to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation.
