Punjab Police, UHS to enhance mutual cooperation


A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore and the Punjab Police at the Central Police Office here on Friday to enhance mutual cooperation.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan said on the occasion that the Punjab Police was enhancing cooperation with the educational institutions to promote education and research sector.

The IGP said that the culture of research in police was being promoted through partnership with edu-cational institutions. He said the Punjab Police was fully aware of its social responsibilities as an institu-tion, and the department was making all-out efforts for protection of life, property of people and preven-tion of crimes. The scope of Punjab Police internship program would also be expanded further, he added.

Under the UHS-police MoU, the two institutions would enhance human resource development and cooperation for educational and research purposes.
