Punjab Police SSP Riffat Bukhari wins global award

LAHORE – A female officer of Punjab Police, SSP Riffat Bukhari, has brought international acclaim to Pakistan by receiving a global award.

The International Association of Women Police honoured SSP Riffat with the Excellence in Performance Award. The award was bestowed upon him at the 61st Annual Conference held in Chicago, USA.

SSP Riffat Bukhari is currently serving with the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. This award is given annually to a female police officer from around the world in recognition of her exceptional services to her community.

SSP Riffat Bukhari was recognized for her work in women’s protection, artificial intelligence, intelligent traffic management, and road safety mechanisms. The award was presented to her by Deborah Friedl, President of the International Association of Women Police.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and MD Safe Cities Authority Ahson Younis congratulated SSP Riffat Bukhari, stating that her achievement is a matter of pride for all police officers, especially female officers.
