Punjab issues dress code for officials

Staff Reporter

The Punjab government has issued a dress code for the officials appearing in a court with directives to follow the guidelines. The dress of an official should depict decency, the directives said, adding that the officials should wear formal attire, a suit and at least a pant shirt with all shirt buttons closed. The government made mandatory the waistcoat with shalwar kameez and putting on shoes with socks.

The Punjab government has issued fresh guidelines after the Supreme Court reprimanded Lahore Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik over informal attire at the court.
