LAHORE – Punjab and federal government on Thursday imposed Section 144 for next three days, restricting all kind of public gatherings.

The decision was made amid heightened security concerns, and Section 144 has been enforced across Punjab and Islamabad. No public assemblies, processions, and protests will be allowed from July 26-28.

The government-linked these measures with potential protests and ongoing terrorism threats. Islamabad capital administration issued stern warning against any violations, emphasizing that such actions will face strict penalties.
