LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched Honhaar Scholarships to provide financial assistance to talented students so they can complete their education without worrying about their fees.

Under the initiative, the provincial government aims at providing 120,000 scholarships to students over the period of four years. It covers 100 percent tuition fee of selected students.

Requirements

Applicants are required to meet the following requirements:

Have domicile from any district of the Punjab

Not be older than 22 years of age on closing date

Family monthly income should be less than Rs 300,000 (Affidavit Required) (Download Sample Affidavit)

The Applicant must be enrolled in Selected Disciplines in the Selected Universities / Colleges in fall session 2024. Students already enrolled in 1st year of MBBS and BDS in 2024 are also eligible for this scholarship program.

Minimum FSc./Intermediate marks:

Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges ≥ 80%

Federal and Private Universities ≥ 70% for Sciences and ≥ 65% for Arts and Social Sciences

Public Sector Universities ≥ 70% for Sciences and ≥ 65% for Arts and Social Sciences

HED Colleges ≥ 65% for Sciences and ≥ 60% for Arts and Social Sciences

Provisional Merit List

The government has issued provisional merit lists of public and private sector universities, medical and dental colleges and HED colleges.

Provisional merit list is subject to verification of documents and monthly family income as per eligibility criteria by the respective Institutional Scrutiny and Verification Committee as well as by the Provincial Scrutiny and Award Committee.
