Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman on Monday announced plans to establish an IT city, initiate an air ambulance service, and launch the Punjab Education Program.
Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman stated that due to the previous government’s policies, Punjab lagged behind, but now, the journey of progress in Punjab has started.
“The focus will be on merit and transparency,” said the provincial finance minister while addressing the Punjab Assembly during the budget session. The Finance Minister pledged to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people, providing relief to the poor, and presenting the first people-friendly budget of his government.
He highlighted the leadership’s commitment to service, reflected in the new vision for the cabinet and bureaus.
Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman emphasized that Punjab will set an example of good governance, implementing the Ramadan Saver Package, with 30 billion rupees allocated. Measures such as price control, zero tolerance for hoarding, and illicit profiteering policies have been put into action.
