Punjab Govt provides billions of rupees subsidy to farmers

The Punjab government is providing subsidy of billion of rupees to farmers to purchases modern agricultural for increasing per acre agriculture yield and farmers should use agricultural machinery to discord subdues of crops instead of burning remains of crops, burning of subdues of crops is causing pollution and smog.

These views were expressed by the Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Toqeer Ilyas Cheema while addressing a seminar held to create awareness among farmers regarding pitfalls of burning subdues of crops and pursued them to use machinery for disposed off remains of crops, on Thursday.

ADCR Abdul Rauf, AC Rab Nawaz Chadhar, Deputy Director Agriculture Hafizabad Fazal Rasul, other officers of different departments and landlords and farmers attended the seminar. DC also said that smoke of factories, bricks Killns and vehicles were causing environment pollution and strict action was being taken to contain spread of smoke to avoid smog on the directions of the Punjab Government and Lahore High Court so farmer must be refrained from burning residues of crops to avoid fines.
