The Punjab Government has issued the notification of judges’ appointment in the special courts across Punjab on the order of chief justice of Lahore High Court.
The appointment of judges in nine special courts was approved in a cabinet session chaired by Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz.
According to notification, judges have been appointed in six anti-terrorism special courts, two anti-corruption and one each in service tribunal and consumer courts of Punjab.
Advocate general will submit the notification before LHC Chief Justice Shehzad Ahmed Khan. Judge Khalid Arshad and Judge Imran Haider have been appointed in the anti-terrorism court Lahore 1 and 2 respectively. Judge Muhammad Abbas has been appointed in the Sargodha anti-terrorism court. Judge Ziaullah Khan has been appointed in Sahiwal anti-terrorism court.
District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Bakht Fakhar has been appointed as chairman of appallete tribunal of revenue authority.
District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Ali has been appointed as presiding officer of Lahore’s consumer court. District and Special Judge Muhammad Zahid Gaznavi has been appointed as special judge of Faisalabad anti-corruption court.
Judge Muhammad Naeem Saleem and Judge Rana Shahid Zameer have been appointed in the anti-terrorism court of Gujranwala and Faisalabad respectively.
District and Sessions Judge Khalid Ishaq has been appointed as special judge of Bahawapur anti-corruption court. District and Session Judge Safdar Bhatti has been appointed as senior special judge while District and Session Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta has been appointed as special judge at Lahore anti-terrorism court respectively.
