LAHORE – The Punjab government decided to close all public and private schools for seven days due to heatwave on Monday.
“All the public and private schools shall remain closed from May 25 to May 31,” read a notification issued by the Punjab government.
The decision has been taken for the safety of the students amid heatwave.
However, the schools are allowed to conduct exams as per their schedules with necessary precautions.

Earlier, the Pakistan Disaster Management Authority had warned of the heatwave in different parts of the country.
