LAHORE – The Punjab Government has constituted two committees for selection of heads of medical teaching institutions and hospitals in the province.
A nine member ‘select committee’ headed by Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department Kh Salman Rafiq will recommend suitable persons for the posts of Principals/Executive Directors/Deans of Medical and Health Institutions. Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Kh Imran Nazir will be the co-convener. The other members include Special Secretary SH&MED, Member Health Advisory Committee Dr Adnan Khan, Dr Eice Muhammad, Dr Asad Aslam, Dr Ahsan Waheed Rathore, Dr Mahmood Ayaz and Dr Shahida Khawaja.
The second ‘select committee’ headed by Minister for SH&MED Kh Salman Rafiq will recommend suitable persons for the posts of heads of Medical Institutions/Medical Superintendents of hospitals. Minister for P&SHD Kh Imran Nazir will be the co-convener. The other member include Special Secretary SH&MED, Dr Zahid Pervaiz, Dr Zohra Khanum, Dr Soufia Farrukh, Dr Khalil Ahmed and Muhammad Sohail.
These committees will recommend suitable persons for the posts to the competent authority for appointments on regular basis.
