Dr Usman recommended as IGP to Centre
Newly appointed caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Monday rejected to take any sort of protocol.
Naqvi made it clear that he will use petrol and a vehicle on his own expense. He reached the chief minister’s office without any protocol to call on the officers. The officers of CM House were introduced to Naqvi.
Meanwhile, Punjab caretaker government on Monday sent the summary of appointing Dr Usman Anwar as Punjab Police Inspector General.
Anwar has been serving as Additional IG Motorways while he also served as Additional IG Special Branch. Source said that Capital City Police Officer Lahore, Deputy Inspector General Operations and DIG Investigation. The province’s police force would also see shuffles after Anwar’s appointment.
