Punjab Winter Holidays Extension Update
As temperatures continue to drop, the Punjab government is contemplating extending the winter break for schools and colleges by an additional week.
A final decision on this will be made later today, with Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat scheduled to chair a meeting at 3 p.m. (Saturday) to review the situation.
Sources suggest that the extension is being considered due to the ongoing cold weather, with meteorological reports set to be analyzed before a final decision is reached.
Parents have expressed significant support for the extension, citing concerns about the safety and health of their children in the severe cold conditions.
Minister Hayat reassured the public, emphasizing that the government’s primary concern is the health and well-being of the students.
