Punjab allows businesses to operate 24/7 with SOPs KP schools to open for admin, teaching staff today

The Punjab Primary and Healthcare Department has allowed all industries, establishments and factories to function 24/7 “subject to adoption of SOPs.”
Businesses related to the construction sector will also be allowed to function throughout the week, the notification read.
“All earlier restrictions and exemptions shall continue to remain in force,” the notification added.
Meanwhile, schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will open for limited number of administrative and teaching staff from today (August 6) to begin preparations for the educational institutions’ reopening amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The province has set September 15, 2020, as the tentative date for the reopening of schools. A notification issued by the KP education department said the administrative and teaching staff will make arrangements for the implementation of the standard operating procedures approved for “safe schooling of children”.
Pakistan on Wednesday reported 15 more deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases surged to 281,528. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,030.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center 675 persons have been tested positive for Covid-19 in 24 hours.
Till now 122,373 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 93,571 in Punjab, 34,359 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,122 in Islamabad, 11,780 in Balochistan, 2,105 in Azad Kashmir and 2,218 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Punjab has reported 235 new coronavirus cases, according to the government’s Covid-19 portal. It has also reported four deaths from the virus, taking the death toll to 2,157. Sindh has reported 357 new cases of the novel coronavirus. Moreover, 14 more people died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister House.
