Punjab allocates over Rs1200 billion for ADP in budget 2025-26

LAHORE – Punjab has proposed a hefty allocation of over Rs 1200 billion for the Annual Development Program (ADP) in the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26.

As much as Rs1,076 billion has been earmarked from own sources for 2,750 development schemes, while the remaining Rs124 billion will be received from external resources (foreign funding).

As much as Rs536 billion has been allocated for 1,412 ongoing schemes, while Rs457 billion will be spent on 1,353 new schemes.

An allocation of rs100 billion has been proposed for road infrastructure, Rs89 billion for Asan Karobar Finance, Rs4.347 billion for Punjab Saaf Pani Authority, Rs9 billion for school meals program, Rs10 billion for tractor scheme, Rs3 billion for solarisation of colleges, Rs3.4 billion for solarisation of courts, Rs1 billion for solarisation of Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals, Rs750 million for solarisation of higher secondary schools, Rs750 million for construction and repair of Agriculture House in Lahore and Rs750 million for increasing mango production.

As much as Rs500 million has been allocated for the Punjab Clean Air Program. Punjab has also proposed allocations for shifting the Governor House, Punjab Safe Cities Authority and other key government offices to solar energy.
