PUGC, PITB enter into agreement to promote entrepreneurship

Punjab University Gujranwala Campus and Punjab Information Technology Board on Tuesday signed an agreement to promote entrepreneurship and establish Regional Plan9 Centre at Gujranwala Campus.

In this regard, the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was held in the committee room of the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi, DG Gujranwala Campus Prof Dr Naveed Ahmed, Director External Linkages Dr Soabia Khurram and others were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Zaidi said that with this agreement, the students of Punjab University and the youth of the area would get an opportunity to start their own business. He said that Plan9 team and PU students would work on innovations and make this project successful.

He said that the establishment of Regional Plan9 Incubation Center at Gujranwala Campus would also solve the employment problems of the youth.

Dr. Zaidi lauded PITB’s Regional Plan9 project and said that PU would play its role to realize the motives behind the project.

He also directed the officials concerned to prepare curriculum for promotion of entrepreneurship culture under Plan9.
