Says past rulers did nothing for welfare of public except hollow slogans

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday declared that era of exhibitory projects and hollow slogans is over now and the “so-called” critics should realize this fact as the opponents’ “past tinted.”
“The past rulers would have not seen these days had they done anything for the country,” the CM pointed out, adding that even the PDM experience has ended in a fiasco due to preference to personal interest.
He said that the opponents were made a target of political revenge in the past but the incumbent government does not believe in it.
CM Usman Buzdar was talking to MNAs – Nawab Sher Waseer, Haji Imtiaz Ahmed and Ghulam Bibi Bharwana who called on him on Friday.
They discussed their constituency related problems with the CM and appreciated the initiative of district development package aims at alleviating the sense deprivation from remote and backward areas.
Issuing directives for resolution of public problems, the CM restated that his doors are always open to the parliamentarians, adding that MNAs are his companions as like the MPAs.
Parliamentarians are being taken into confidence while devising districts’ development packages, he said and termed it the start of an era of composite development.
The government is giving the backward areas their right of development and resources are provided to them to flourish, he continued.
The CM emphasised that no district is discriminated against with regard to development funds as far-flung areas have equal rights over resources.
The government is fully engaged in public service and no one can raise a finger at the transparent governance, he repeated.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar ordered suspension of Excise & Taxation Officer Mian Muhammad Sadiq upon public complaints and negligence on duty during his Bhakkar visit. Secretary Excise & Taxation Department has issued orders in this regard.
The CM has made it clear that the officers failing to solve genuine problems of the people have no place in the province.
It is the prime duty of the officers to resolve public complaints and no negligence or dereliction of duty will be tolerated in this regard, the CM added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri met with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed matters of mutual interest.
He appreciated the Punjab government’s philosophy of composite development adding that it planned best to develop the backward areas.
Similarly, the establishment of a university in every district is a knowledge friendly step and the Punjab government has taken important steps to overcome the coronavirus, he added.
CM Usman Buzdar said everyone should positively perform to work for national development.
Regrettably, the opposition has started creating hurdles from the day first but the government has moved the development journey forward despite numerous difficulties, he added.
It is deplorable that these elements did not stop from the scoring point over the corona issue, said CM.
Meanwhile, Provincial Ministers – Shaukat Ali Lalika, Jehanzeb Khan Khichi, PTI leader Rai Hassan Nawaz and Gulraiz Afzal Gondal, Ahmed Shah Khagha, Ch Muhammad Adnan, Ijaz Khan, Adil Pervaiz, Muhammad Ijaz Hussain, Rai Zahoor Ahmed, Muhammad Ali Raza Khan Khaqwani, Fida Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf Khan Rind and Sardar Muhammad Awais Dareshk called Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
The CM issued immediate instructions for the relevant quarters for solution to problems raised by the parliamentarians.
